Project Overview
This $457 million mega mixed-use project in the Southwest Waterfront in Washington, D.C. is a pedestrian-oriented, water-oriented, and transit-oriented development all in one.
This 19-acre mixed-use community includes two residential buildings, a Class-A office building, a yacht club, two parks, and a parking garage. One of the residential structures, a 501-unit apartment building, contains a music hall located on the first five levels. The building is comprised of a brick and window wall façade. An additional residential building contains 147 apartment units and 134 condos. This building features a rooftop amenity space with an infinity pool and private terraces for top floor condo owners. The 225,000 square-foot, Class-A office building features decorative steel arches that connect to adjacent buildings.
Also included in the development is the Capital Yacht Club, which features a stone clad façade with decorative metal panels and wood louvers over the windows. The Yacht Club is built on a pier over the Washington Channel and offers 98 marina slips. A 700,000 square-foot parking garage, with two below-grade levels, supplies 2,500 parking spaces to the community.
The Wharf’s Class-A office building is designed to achieve LEED Gold certification; the two residential buildings, as well as the Capital Yacht Club, are designed to achieve LEED Silver certification.
