Project Overview
The urban residence hall, Square 77, is a keystone of The George Washington University’s development plan. The design of the housing infill preserves three historic apartment building facades and integrates them into a contemporary structure extending through the block.
For this restoration project, Calvert Masonry replaced 19,000 brick, 131,000 LF of mortar joints wer repointed, 120 limestone patch repairs and 1,300 sf of repair/refinish of historic metal trim.
